West Norwood Free Film Festival will return in Autumn 2025 with a series of Halloween screenings.

Our last series of events took place in Spring 2025 when we put on a set of rabbit-themed screenings in honour of spring! We showed The Big Lebowski, Donnie Darko, Fatal Attraction, Jojo Rabbit and Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit at venues including the Hope pub, the Portico Gallery, Sole Luna and West Norwood Cemetery.

With a passion for community film screenings, we’ve been part of this network of volunteer-powered Free Film Festivals since 2017. WNFFF has established close links with local businesses and we’ve shown cool films in unusual settings, such as the Clockworks Museum and West Norwood Cemetery. Other places you might have seen our screenings at include St Luke’s, West Norwood’s oldest church and Sole Luna, a family-run Italian bistro.

About half of our screenings are currently family-friendly (suitable for all ages).

We are always on the lookout for volunteers. If you’d like to get involved in helping out at our next WNFFF festival, please do get in touch. We would love to hear from you! We always need people to both organise and help run the events. You might get involved in choosing films, updating social media, approaching venues or looking for local sponsors – and we really need to find some funding. Then, once our screenings are arranged, there’s always lots to do such as setting up the equipment, looking after the audience and so on.

No experience needed, just an enthusiasm for film and local events.
