Herne Hill Free Film Festival
Are you ready for the third Herne Hill Free Film Festival, 1-31st May 2015? Want to know what's in store? Get these dates in your diary now!
We've 4 major outdoor screenings for you to enjoy at some fabulous Herne Hill venues...
The festival kicks off with The Lady Killers - and our flagship launch screening in Station Square, Herne Hill on May 1st (it's outside so bring a chair and wrap up warm!). Our other outdoor events include The Grand Budapest Hotel showing at Brockwell Lido, Dulwich Road on May 9th, The Kid With A Bike is this year's Herne Hill Velodrome screening; don't miss your chance to experience watching this film at London's oldest and iconic outdoor velodrome. Then we'll wrap things up again in style with our final outdoor screening on the hill in the lovely Brockwell Park, where you can catch Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure on May 30th.
These four screenings are all outside, so wrap up warm and bring something to sit on. It's summertime and we're also tied by sundown, so screening start times may vary.
The Prince Regent Pub on Dulwich Road plays host to a number of screenings again this year, we're delighted to welcome The Lido Café to the fold for a couple of screenings and the new Milkwood venue in Station Square will also open its cinematic doors during the festival.
The oh-so-popular 48 hour Film Challenge returns and runs from 2nd - 4th May at The Prince Regent, so get hands on and make a movie!
We also let you take control for a night with our Audience Choice screening! Vote for the movie you'd like to see at the Herne Hill Sunday Market on 12th April or out 1st May Station Square screening!
Check below for more screening details.
It's going to be a big movie month; we'll even supply the popcorn. All you have to do is turn up, plus IT'S ALL FREE!!!
Other independent screenings are still being added to the festival, so watch this space... We'll see you in May!
Or do you fancy getting involved? Our next meeting will be on Tuesday 21st April at 8pm in The Railway Tavern, 7 Station Rise, Tulse Hill, SE27 9BW. (next to Tulse Hill railway station). We'll be meeting fortnightly, so if you're not able to come this time please keep checking back for updated meeting details.
